Supporting People Affected by a Loved One’s Substance Use; Models of Intervention
As part of MP ROTAC’s commitment to providers, communities, and individuals impacted by the opioid and substance misuse epidemic we are proud to present a comprehensive drug education training series that presents up-to-date information on topics critical for maintaining a robust continuum of care. Jim Cowser, CEO of Central Wyoming Counseling Center, will host the series. Jim holds an LCSW and Masters Certified Addiction Professional credential. He brings decades of experience in the world of mental health and Substance Use Treatment services to the series. Throughout his career, he has worked with a wide range of populations within various levels of care from outpatient to residential to acute services. Joining Jim throughout the series are; Addiction Psychiatrist Dr. Steve Delisi, MD YourPath Health, Minneapolis; and MN; Addiction Psychiatrist Dr. Frank Del Real, MD Central Wyoming Counseling Center; Dr. Mike Campbell, PhD., Chair, Social Work, Associate Professor, University of West Florida; and Anna Kinder, OTD, Director of Public Health, Natrona County, WY.

June 4, 2025 – Neurobiology of Substance Use Disorders and Intersection with Trauma (60 min)
June 25, 2025 – Implementing Contingency Management (30 min with resource).
July 9, 2025 – Understanding and Promoting Recovery Capital as Protective Factors (60 min).
July 23, 2025 – Effective Community Coordination in rural areas through the Situation Table Model (presentation and Panel-30 min)
July 30, 2025 – Developing Patient Agreements and Adherence within MOUD/ AUD clinic settings (30 min).
August 6 2025 – Evidence based care for MOUD and SUD continuum (60 min).
August 20, 2025 – Supporting people affected by a loved one’s Substance Use, models of Intervention (60 min).
September 10, 2025 – Overdose Preparedness (30 min).
